Sara Grgurić
Sara Grgurić was born in 1998 in Rijeka and lives and works in Zagreb as a director and assistant director. She earned her BA in Film and Television Directing and an MA in Fiction Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. She is an alumna of the Talents Sarajevo program at the Sarajevo Film Festival (2024), Talent Academy at the Linz International Film Festival (2022), and Talent Camp at The Next Film Festival (2018).
Her films have received various accolades, with particular recognition for In “the Woods”, her BA graduation film, which was selected for Vimeo Staff Picks 2023. The film won the NEST Award for Best Student Film at the San Sebastián International Film Festival (2021), the Golden Pram for Best Croatian Short Film at the Zagreb Film Festival (2020), and the "Jelena Rajković" Award for Best Young Croatian Director at the Croatian Film Days (2021), awarded by the Croatian Film Directors' Guild. She also works as an assistant director on film and TV projects, including “The Man Who Could Not Stay Silent” by Nebojša Slijepčević.
