Raquel Versieux
Raquel Versieux is an artist who lives between the two capitals of Brazilian states, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais. She is currently completing her Master's degree in Visual Languages at school Belas Artes in Rio de Janeiro, and has graduated at Univeristy of Belas Artes of Minas Gerais. Also, she studied photography at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Visuels - La Cambre in Brussels and Social Sciences at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. In her works she articulates a political form of relations between people and landscape, particularly the use of natural resources and believes that there is an imbalance between the notion of culture and nature. In Rijeka she will focus on coal mine and will collaborate with local artists. She expresses through the medium of photography, drawing, collage, performance and video installation
