Nejra Hulusić graduated as theatre and film director from Academy of Dramatic Arts in Sarajevo. In 2011 she directed a short documentary film "Her Cinema Love" which was shown in competition and side programs of the festivals such as Hotdocs, Visions du Reel, DOK Leipzig, ZagrebDOX, Dokufest MakeDOX, Kurtzfilmtage Wintherthur, Montenegro FF. Her feature documentary project UNDER THE COVER was awarded by Balkan Documentary Centre and nominated for funding of the Robert Stiftung foundation where she attended a two-week training course for pitching of the project, and participated in the Berlinale Talent Campus. She attended workshops of the documentary film organized by Rada Šešić and Eastern Neighbours Film Festival in The Hague. In 2014 she made a short film INTO THE BLUE, which received support from the Film Fund of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was co-produced by BHRT. INTO THE BLUE's premiere was at the Sarajevo Film Festival, and was screened at the Eastern Neighbours FF, and was elected to be shown on MECAL FF, Barcelona. In 2008 Neyra Hulusić began to work on the project DEBLOKADA, then on the short documentary WITNESS, about the juvenile delinquency. The topic is currently being developed also for the feature documentary.

Sabrina Begović Ćorić was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she finished elementary and high school. In 2005. she began to study film and theater directing at the Sarajevo Academy of Dramatic Arts where she graduated in 2014. During her studies, she has directed several plays and short films. Her greatest achievement of this period is short documentary "Sunny Children", which won the UNICEF and the Sarajevo Talent Campus award, as well as several other awards at festivals dealing with the issues of persons with disabilities. In 2011, she founded an association for the promotion of women's ideas through culture and art HAVA. There she works as a director and producer. She has produced short film "Into the Blue," directed by Nejra Hulusić. She is currently working on the production and postproduction of two documentaries, and the pre-production of one short film. After the study she has directed her first professional theatre play "Finger" in the Sarajevo War Theater SARTR. She is currently completing a master's degree, in Sarajevo

The feature documentary film Under the Cover

Nejra and Sabrina are the director and the producer of feature-documentary, work in progress film, UNDER THE COVER. In Rijeka they will work on the development of the project and they will start the research. After finalization of the film they will show it in the Art Cinema Croatia. During the stay in Rijeka they will collaborate with UKUS association and with the Institute of the Documentary Film from Prague whose employees will also stay in Rijeka at that time. The film is driven by the personal story of the film directors from Sarajevo, Nejra and Sabrina. Although both Muslims, Nejra wears the hijab, and Sabrina not. They decided to make a documentary about the prejudices related to that headscarf, after Nejra was kept by the police at the Dutch airport because of it. The rest of  their 15 day journey and the first joint visit to the EU was accompanied by a series of questions and misconceptions about Nejra's hijab. At home they decided to make a film that will give an answer to a number of polite, indecent, weird, funny and sometimes offensive questions asked by their European colleagues about covered Muslim women.

UDRUGA UKUS

Since its very beginnings in 2009, in Rijeka where it was established, Association UKUS works on the development of the good taste (ukus in Croatian means taste). It does so by producing their own films, by education or curated film projects and exhibitions. The aim is to spread the knowledge to the public and to the participants of the education programmes, in the field of autonomous aesthetics and progressive independent expression. It is up to UKUS’ taste to cross the borders of the genre and the media, and to encourage the others to do so. Nonetheless, the film is their favorite media. The film in its documentary-fiction mixture, is the media in which they swim with most pleasure. They also like shock and discredit, in intensive colors.
