Lýdia Pribišová, PhD.
born in 1980, in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, is a curator and art historian, lives in Bratislava and Roma. Since 2006 she is Slovak editor, since 2013 managing editor of Flash Art Czech & Slovak Edition and since 2013 she is project coordinator in tranzit.sk (www.tranzit.org). In 2012, she founded non-profit organization called Pilot (www.pilot-projects.info).
Since 2013 she collaborate with Kunsthalle Bratislava, curating discussion series called Lupa, dedicated to international emerging curators. She is member of Slovak AICA, member of Viafarini curatorial board in Milano and member of curatorial board White House Biennial in Athens. In 2007 and 2011 she co-curated Slovak section of Prague Biennale, organised by Helena Kontova and Giancarlo Politi. In 2007 she co-founded gallery of immaterial art http://www.evolutiondelart.net/. She is contributor in magazines Flash Art, Artribune, Luxflux and Vlna.
In 2013 she obtained PhD degree at the University La Sapienza in Rome, with doctoral thesis under the tutorship of Professor Simonetta Lux La Quadriennale di Roma Dall’Ente autonomo alla Fondazione. Una riflessione sulla trasformazione. Quadriennale of Rome. From Public Body to Foundation. Reflection on transformation. In 2010 she was awarded by the Lemmermann Foundation for this research.
