Eva Tind was born in 1974 in Pusan, Korea. She came to Denmark as a one-year-old and grew up in Låsby in Jutland, Denmark. She now lives in Copenhagen. Eva Tind was educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in 2001. She works in the interdisciplinary field of film, fine art, architecture and literature.

Eva Tind reflects on the whole concept of identity, often through verse, prose, dialogues, documentary material and pictures. Through the experimental forms the work highlights how the world can seem very different depending on who is looking at it and from where. The complexity of the work as a whole lies in the intricate interplay between one form of expression, one perspective, scale, genre, theme or language and another, between the personal and the universal. In Eva Tind’s work, identity unfolds itself in a new directions, and explores the nature of belonging and the way in which we forge our own identity – how much of it is shaped by our environment and what is internal.

Eva Tind was awarded The Klaus Rifbjerg Debutant Prize for Poetry by The Danish Academy in 2010. She has received grants and support for her work from several private Foundations, Danish Film Directors, Danish Arts Foundation – Literature and Art, National Arts Council, Danish Authors Association, Klitgården, San Cataldo and National Workshops for Arts.

I am currently working on a new novel based on 60 hours of secretly recorded, personal conversations from 1957, between the late silent movie star Asta Nielsen (b. 1881) and a Danish aficionado, Frede Smidth, who becomes friends with Nielsen in her last, lonely years before her death in 1972.    The starting point of the Novel is the narrator’s mentally breakdown in her new flat, which turns out also to be the birthplace of Asta Nielsen. The narrator becomes intrigued, because her own mother is also named Asta and both Asta’s were born 9/11. She looks at the Internet and finds out that no one knew who Asta Nielsen really was, because she protected her privacy zealously. The narrator begins searching for books about Asta Nielsen in an old bookstore. By chance she finds an original letter written by Asta Nielsen on a delicate piece of pink paper, and the story begins to unfold itself.    The book has been scheduled to be released in April by Gyldendal Publishers. Through the stay I will finish this book. Going through the manuscript, and polish the details and such.

Croatian Writers' Society is a non-governmental, non-political professional association of writers who are active within the Republic of Croatia meaning those who write in the Croatian language as well as those professional authors of literal and other texts who are in agreement with the aims and activities of the Society. The Society assembles writers of literary and other related texts, and for the protection of their professional rights and interests, for the promotion of standards of literary creativity and the general standard of the written and public word as well as the professional and public status of writers of literary and other related texts. In order to fulfil the aims, the Society cooperates with various partners which are concerned with the professional, vocational and cultural questions of literature and carries out numerosu activities, such as: publishing of literary, cultural and professional publications, organisation  of literary, professional and scientific gatherings, etc.
