Planned as a multi-annual project, Soft Control intends to place in focus the cultural phenomena that occur at the intersections of art and reflection of the public sphere. As a long-term cultural project, it forms a kind of platform, a meeting point and exchange of artists, cultural workers and researchers. The project calls for linking and active participation of different target audiences, especially young people, students and elderly people. Art and science come together, by comparing and exchanging models of critical thinking, research, experimentation and activism. The project will be run as an exchange, production and mobility of artists and professionals, circulation of works of art of a wide spectrum, a series of small exhibitions, interviews with artists and other activities at the location of each partner, networked with each other and with other organizations in Europe. Each partner has created its own package of events which will result in a number of activities and presentations, both real and virtual. MMCA will bring together artists and researchers who explore the concept of public space, in conjunction with modern production, discussing its various manifestations and meanings as a cultural symbol. The consortium brings candidates for residences, art projects and cooperation. At the end of the 2013 Museum of modern and contemporary art has announced Call for temporary art projects in public space under the name Copula. The time and duration of projects will be from March 7th till May 23rd of 2014 in Rijeka .
