Alen Bešić
Alen Bešić was born in 1975 in Bihać (Bosnia) and he obtained his bachelor's and master's degree from the Department of Serbian Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. He has published two books of poetry and books of selected literary criticism and essays, Reading labyrinths (2006) and Unreliable form (2012). He is engaged in literary criticism, essays and is also translating from English. For his work as a translator he was, in 2010, awarded by the Writers' Association of Vojvodina. He is a member of the Serbian Literary Society and the Association of Literary Translators of Serbia. Since 2007 he has worked as the editor of Literary theory in magazine Polja, a magazine that collaborates with numerous authors from the region. His versatile engagement in the field of literature, and for encouraging cooperation by different generations from different countries has been the main reason for him being proposed for the Award of 16th International meeting publishers Journey to the Centre of Europe in Pazin.
